Meet Dr. Alex McPherson
Dentist
Dr. Alex McPherson wants patients to feel comfortable and well informed about their dental care. He listens to their concerns, explains what he finds, and discusses treatment options before moving forward.
Dr. McPherson earned his Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences, along with Physical and Health Education, from Queen’s University in 2002. He completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) at Dalhousie University in 2009.
After dental school, he completed a General Practice Residency at the University of British Columbia. There, he received advanced training in comprehensive dentistry and the management of complex dental cases.
Dr. McPherson is certified in IV benzodiazepine sedation, nitrous oxide sedation, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). This training allows him to offer sedation options for patients who may feel anxious about dental treatment.
He values getting to know his patients and helping them make informed decisions about their oral health. Treatment plans are based on each patient’s needs, concerns, and long-term dental health.
Outside the office, Dr. McPherson enjoys spending time with his wife and their two children. They enjoy biking, camping, hiking, and spending time outdoors in Alberta.
